Meet the Curriculum Department!

Hello! I’m Christina, a rising senior at Stuyvesant. I joined Excelsior Learning as a way to give back to my community and to support other students. I noticed that I’ve been volunteering less since sophomore year because I became more busy so I’m really excited to get back into the flow of volunteering with Excelsior! A fun fact about me is that both my older brother and younger brother are four years apart from me.

Hey, I’m Ayoub, one of the Curriculum Directors at Excelsior Learning and a rising junior at Townsend Harris. As a first generation immigrant, I found passion working with students in a non profit organization that offers affordable tutoring. I hope that tutoring is one day available to everyone who needs it.

Hello, Joe here! I am a rising senior at Brooklyn Tech and I joined Excelsior Learning to help low-income students exceed in their academics. Fun fact: poached eggs are my favorite kind of egg

Hi! I'm Yuchen. I'm a rising senior at Stuyvesant High School and a member of the curriculum department. A fun fact about me is that I hate warm milk

I joined Excelsior because I wanted to help middle schoolers easily access material to study for the SHSAT. The SHSAT is a really important test to many of these students and being able to prep for it is essential. A fun fact about me is that during the school year I was really involved with my robotics team and went to a competition to see our robot compete.

Jonathan Jia

Jonathan Jia is a rising junior at Great Neck South High School who is interested in providing academic development opportunities for students. He enjoys working on coding problems and expanding his knowledge of computer science in his free time. Jonathan also participates in robotics, takes part in debate competitions, and is part of his school’s badminton team. As a part of Excelsior Learning, he plans to expand the organization and help students grow academically.

Hello! My name is Alex, and I am a rising senior at Stuyvesant High School. I love to play the piano, volunteer, and especially, run! I joined Excelsior Learning because I am passionate about guiding students to achieve their academic dreams, and give them a chance to strive for a school they desire to be a part of. A fun fact about me is that I can name every country in the world :)

Hi everyone! My name is Eric and I'm a rising senior at Brooklyn Technical High School. I'll be your logistics director for the summer. I joined Excelsior Learning since I understand student's struggle with the SHSAT and the opportunities getting into a specialized high school can open up. I hope we can make the most out of the summer.

I joined because Excelsior is run in a professional way that people wouldn’t usually expect of high school students :)Fun Fact: I used to collect a lot of stationary, so I have a ton of pens in my drawer still leftover from when I would buy them on a whim
